The Louisiana Bar Foundation is proud to announce publication of the SPEECHES 2017 by its first Scholar in Residence, Paul R. Baier, Judge Henry A. Politz Professor of Law, LSU Law Center. The book includes speeches delivered since the 2014 publication, including "A Sprig of Laurel for Chief Justice Pascal F. Calogero, Jr."; "Holmes's Speeches and More"; and

Nominations for 2017 Distinguished Honorees and Calogero Justice Award Must be Received by Friday, September 15.

The LBF is selling raffle tickets to win two 2017 Saints season tickets. Take a chance to see every home game from Midfield Plaza level. Raffle tickets are $100 each and are for a chance to win two (2) tickets to all pre and regular 2017 season home games. The drawing will be Friday, August 18.

Emmett C. Sole, a member of the law firm Stockwell, Sievert, Viccellio, Clements & Shaddock, L.L.P. in Lake Charles is the recipient of the 2017 Louisiana Bar Foundation’s (LBF) Boisfontaine Trial Advocacy Award.
