LWCC Raises $58,000 for LBF Kids’ Chance Scholarship Program

The Louisiana Workers’ Compensation Corporation (LWCC) hosted a speaker series event at the Foster Learning Center at the LWCC headquarters in Baton Rouge. Together with agent and business partners, LWCC donated $58,000 to the Louisiana Bar Foundation (LBF) Kids’ Chance Scholarship Program. The event featured bestselling author Renée Mauborgne.

“When a parent loses their wage-earning ability, their families face many challenges – including financing their kids’ education,” said Hon. John C. Davidson (ret.) LBF President. “We’re grateful for the funding and partnership that LWCC provides because it helps us to ensure that the goals of aspiring students in our state aren’t derailed by the workplace injury of a parent.” With the support of LWCC, the LBF has been able to award 349 scholarships in the amount of $940,000 since its inception in 2004.
