The Louisiana Bar Foundation (LBF) was recognized as the 2025 Social Justice Champion by the Gillis Long Poverty Law Center at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. Each year, the Center recognizes an organization that partners with Loyola’s College of Law to advance justice in the community. The award was presented at a ceremony on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at the College of Law.
LBF partnered with Loyola Law School to fund the Loyola Child Welfare & Domestic Violence clinic. Student practitioners will represent children and adults who are court-appointed or referred to victims of domestic violence and related trauma.
The LBF plans to continue collaboration with all Louisiana law schools, working directly with students to foster education and create a pathway for future public interest attorneys. Plans are currently underway to partner with Southern University Law Center.
