The Louisiana Bar Foundation (LBF) Kids’ Chance Scholarship Program is for dependents of Louisiana workers killed or permanently and totally disabled in a work accident. We are part of the national movement to help the families of injured workers. And Governor Jeff Landry has proclaimed October 12-16, 2026, Kids’ Chance Awareness Week in Louisiana!
The LBF is celebrating 22 years of awarding Kids’ Chance Scholarships! Since 2004, we have awarded 361 scholarships totaling $1,020,359.
National Kids’ Chance Week is October 12-16, 2026. Every state is working together to amplify the message, to expand awareness of this program. Kids’ Chance is more than a scholarship, it’s a movement, because a parent’s workplace injury should never determine a child’s future.
Join the national movement — for one day or the whole week. Every action counts, for we are truly stronger together.
